Pair the Proto Watch with a Jetson Orin Nano running Deabute’s preloaded speech-to-text server. Your voice becomes keystrokes through a service on your own network. Alternatively, connect to the Soniox speech API with a key from Soniox.

Get the voice watch on its own and configure it with a paid Soniox API key, or choose the Independence Bundle for a pre-connected setup with the local speech server.

Beta products are offered in limited quantities for early adopters, supporters, and experimenters. Bear in mind that particularly the watch as an endpoint device isn't even its final form. However, Espressif C6/S3 devices and NVIDIA GPUs will likely remain target platforms for the firmware and server if this solution progresses to general availability.

  • Choose your pathDeabute maintains stable, cutting-edge, and traditional versions of its products, except software for limited-run prototypes. Traditional versions preserve familiar interfaces and receive security updates and bug fixes, so you aren’t left stranded on an unsupported version or forced onto a newer version that behaves differently than you expect. Deabute maintains a traditional version as long as more than 4% of its members continue to use it. Since the software is open source, others can also take responsibility for maintaining it.
  • Choose fewer compromisesFor non-prototype service products, you can self-host for assured privacy, control, and lower long-term costs. Alternatively, use Deabute hosting for lower upfront cost and easier setup. Deabute allocates service resources per individual, family, or organization plan, helping keep data within your trusted group.
  • Choose controlIf you cancel your membership for any reason, you retain access to the software you had access to during your membership. Ongoing security, feature, interface, compatibility, performance, accessibility, and appearance updates are available through à la carte or bundled update channels reserved for members.
