Speak into the Proto Watch. Its firmware captures your voice.

02 / TRANSCRIBE

Turn voice into text.

The speech service processes the audio and sends words back to the watch.

03 / TYPE

Send keystrokes.

The firmware sends the text to your paired device as a Bluetooth keyboard.

04 / YOUR APP

Keep your workflow.

Your words arrive in the focused text field of the app you are already using.

Write a message, a note, or a prompt without changing how your app accepts text.
The watch needs a connection to a supported speech service and a paired device that accepts a BLE keyboard. Choose the local speech server, or connect to Soniox with your own key.

WHAT IT DOES

Keep the apps you know.

Text where you need it.

Write messages, notes, search queries, and prompts. The paired device receives keyboard input, so the destination app can keep its normal text workflow.

Choose the speech path.

Run the speech server on your own equipment, including the local server in the Independence Bundle. Alternatively, connect the watch to Soniox with your own API key.

Bring a compatible device.

Pair with Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, or another device that supports BLE keyboards. Keep the text field you want to use in focus.

INSIDE THE STACK

Two layers, built to work together.

The watch is the input and keyboard endpoint. The voice server performs speech recognition. Their connection brings the transcript back to the watch for delivery to your paired device.

01

Proto Watch Firmware

Embedded input + keyboard output

Runs on the watch, captures speech, connects to the configured speech service, receives text, and emits BLE keyboard input.

02

Voice server

Speech-to-text service

Processes speech on your own equipment and returns a transcript. The Independence Bundle provides a Jetson Orin Nano with the local speech server preloaded.
